She's already making progress, and we're having a great friend, who's had some special education training and is helping us understand and learn how to communicate better with Violet. It definitely sucks for her being a very visual kid (like Lily and myself) with a severe vision impairment.Stephanie @ Life, Unexpectedlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787379336749043051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-75426564125463957432014-05-24T08:40:27.528-07:002014-05-24T08:40:27.528-07:00Sending hugs and positive thoughts to all of you. ...Sending hugs and positive thoughts to all of you. Sometimes getting some answers can be the best progress because then you know what you're dealing with and can proceed to get the support and help you need. I promise that makes a big difference. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-10470992595490137312014-05-16T13:24:42.898-07:002014-05-16T13:24:42.898-07:00Thanks so much, Janine, I really appreciate your t...Thanks so much, Janine, I really appreciate your thoughts!! We've had a quite encouraging appointment with our pediatrician today to discuss the results of the testing. Comparing it with her own results and notes, she considered the report we received a little over the top but still agree to issue us a referral to a speech therapist asap. She also referred to Lily's development again, whom she considered more problematic speech-wise back then than Violet, and Lily just thrived. Hoping for the same results for Violet.Stephanie @ Life, Unexpectedlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787379336749043051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-11578648689973428382014-05-16T13:21:24.625-07:002014-05-16T13:21:24.625-07:00We're very thankful for this opportunity, Chri...We're very thankful for this opportunity, Christine! We've discussed the report with our pediatrician today, and she put us to ease a lot. While she also diagnosed issues during the regular check-up, she considered the report a little "ambitious". The initial game plan is to try and get an appointment with a speech therapist asap.Stephanie @ Life, Unexpectedlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787379336749043051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-64767134874856486332014-05-16T13:10:30.730-07:002014-05-16T13:10:30.730-07:00Thanks so much for your kind words, Jen!
