Especially if one cannot speak the language very well, they get isolated very quickly. As a bi-lingual family ourselves, we're always happy to meet others going down the same route.

Baby's teething really, really badly, so my sleep issues will resolve as soon as his teething pain improves. I got him some homeopathic remedies and also pain meds for the night so he can rest. Especially since in Germany, there's a really dispicable group named PEGIDA, who have taken it upon themselves to demonstrate against the increasing "Islamisation" of the "Christian West". It's disgusting; and attacks like that only give them more reasons to take to the streets while they hurt Muslims worldwide. There are fanatics, extremists, and fundamentalists in all religions, and they all disgust me. These attacks truly came out of the blue, for everyone.

I could kick myself for not taking a picture of how Violet was standing in front of the door, all caked with dirt, with her eyes just shining and her face glowing. I got him some homeopathic remedies and also gave him a dose of pain meds for the night. He was just crying hard today, and I couldn't really help him, poor boy!

As Violet's teachers put it: she's the perfect princess, all girlie, until you put her mud pants on her and send her outside, then she's ROLLING in the dirt :-) So excited for her enjoying the mud pit so much :-)

Having the grandparents help out for a few days was really, really awesome! After the morning coffee, hubby and I started to make a big thermos of tea for the afternoon :-)

By no means did Muddy Princess just jump puddles; she was literally rolling in the mud pit they have at her kindergarten. She was so dirty hubby just left her in her mud suit and rain boots and took her home as is. She had to be on an old towel in the entrance way and strip out of her outer wear, just to keep some of the dirt out. But this task truly made me happy!!

I think I will remember this time and take it upon me to hide some alarm clocks in Calvin's room when he's a teenager and trying to sleep in! I'm mean :-)

Hope you have a wonderful week as well!Stephanie @ Life, Unexpectedlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787379336749043051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-34907927666601772082015-01-13T12:26:46.302-08:002015-01-13T12:26:46.302-08:00Love the muddy princess, but Calvin could definite...Love the muddy princess, but Calvin could definitely second-guess his sleep schedule ;-) Äast night was especially bad, poor baby. Terrorist, indeed! :)
There's nothing better than a messy princess! I have one in my preschool class. She wears a Frozen t-shirt and a bow and a boys Carhartt coat and sleeps with a hard, plastic Darth Vader doll.
I'm sure it was nice to spend a couple of days with your parents with your husband off losing his lips. It's nice to have someone else (especially grandparents) to absorb some of the endless child chatter for awhile!
With the girls back at school and routine restored, hopefully Calvin will get his sleep better regulated, in spite of the teething.
Have a great week, Stephanie!Dyanne @ I Want Backsieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04946323852124525597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474956079411071497.post-20842131141669993022015-01-10T20:13:06.251-08:002015-01-10T20:13:06.251-08:00I told my terrorist daddy would buy him a car if h...I told my terrorist daddy would buy him a car if he would just sleep for me.
