Share Your Best

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma. Super-hubby's birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and he wants a chocolate cake for his birthday. Not the German's Chocolate Cake I've made all but one year for his birthday (last year he wanted a pumpkin cheese cake), but something new.  But I don't know anything new, and I don't have time to try something new.  So if you have THE recipe for an awesome chocolate birthday cake for my wonderful man, please share  :-)

    I know this isn't helpful at all but one time in high school I baked my friend a cake and, halfway through the recipe, I realized my house didn't have all the ingredients I needed. I substituted things like chocolate syrup for cocoa powder and sugar and did some other changes and it ended up being the best chocolate cake I've ever had. I'm so disappointed that I never wrote down the recipe.

      Oh, I know how that is. The rsults are either absolutely amazing and imposible to do ever again, or utter catastrophes. Mine are usually the latter :-)
