When Mommy Brain Hits...

The following conversation with my hubby occurred upon me finding yet another wall drawing by Miss Violet van Gogh:

I *slightly desperate (and annoyed)*: Oh dear goodness, did you see the drawing Violet left us on the wall AGAIN???

Hubby: Yes... I told you about it the day before yesterday...

I *surprised*: This did not just happen right now???

Hubby: No, I even TOLD you about it..

I *increasingly confused*: You did???

Hubby: Yes.. And YOU said it's no big deal...

I *REALLY confused*: Did I????

Hubby: You need more sleep!!!

Ps: I have to agree...

  1. My kid used to draw on the walls when she was being watched by her grandfather. When I said something he replied, "Oh, she likes it." Sigh!

    1. Our older daughter did it back in the US, I could wipe it off fairly easy. Our walls here are different, so I am getting quite upset. If my parents had let the girls do something like that, I would have been fairly upset as well!

    1. She was 2, so it was only hectic scribbling on the wall. Had it actually been anything interesting, I might have just bought a large frame to hang around it :-)

  3. That's funny. Use it to make him allow you to sleep in really late next weekend. Also? I have blue crayon on my couch. Yup.

    1. The hubby usually lets me sleep in at least one day of the weekend. But mostly, the girls don't really let me. I simply cannot sleep if I have a wailing little girl loitering outside my bedroom door :-)

  4. Any conversation with a mother can end with that line! And I hope hubby took Ms. Van Gogh for awhile, and let you get some sleep!

    1. He did! He usually lets me have at least one morning at the weekend to sleep in. But unfortunately I'm a night owl with a day job, not a good combination :-)

  5. My son told me the other day that I need to get my brain fixed. If only it were that easy!
