Excited For Fall

Finish the Sentence Friday

And just like that it's Friday again. Somehow, Fridays feel different now that I'm home, because afternoon naps also happen on Fridays nowadays, not only on weekends. And since I am well-rested now (somewhat), I'm linking up with Kristi and Stephanie for yet another Finish The Sentence Friday. Today's cue:

At the end of summer, I always feel...

EXCITED!!!!!

- for my favorite season to start.
- for the heat to be over.
- for colorful leaves.
- for lots and lots of pumpkin goodness.
- for Halloween fun.
- for Thanksgiving somewhere down the road.
- for cocooning a little bit on yuckie days.
- for some purging and organizing.

Yes, I admit, there may be a tad bit of nostalgia for summer dresses, ice cream in the sun, and pool time, but generally, I'm looking forward for fall all year long  :-)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

    1. I think we're having somewhat of an early Indian summer (as our summer was not much of a summer), but one can already feel the crispness in the breeze. Fall is so wonderful! Enjoy your Colorado fall, Stephanie!!

  4. I love the fall, but definitely miss summer. I think it has more to do with my son's age though, and the fact that he's going to kindergarten now, and that I just hope I made enough memories for him... thank you SO much for linking up!!! Here's to fall leaves!!

  7. It's funny how strongly many of us feel about our preferred seasons. You would think it would depend on where you live, but I know many fellow Oregonians who hate even our mild summers and live for our rainy falls, or New Yorkers who thrive in the cold and slush of winter. Seems to be personality based (and activity based of course--skiers like winter better than swimmers do!).

    1. I just don't like the extremes (hot or cold), and since I can deal with cold better than with heat (always possible to put another layer on in winter), fall is my favorite season. Also because there are more "traditions" and I can break out all my spices for baking again. Thanks so much for stopping by, Wendy!

  11. Me too! Absolutely adore Fall. Bring it on. Here's to sleeping with the windows wide open, the smell of fire crackers in the air and miles of schlepping through crunchy leaves. Pumpkin spiced latte to go? You betcha.
