Are You A Spy???

A few years ago, the U.S government has thought up another nice way to pester travelers and pull some money out of their pockets. This nice little piece of work is called ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) and costs you $14,00 a pop. While it is not more than a medium nuisance for me, when it comes to involving our kids (who happen to be U.S. citizens!!), it's not too funny any more. So you could find me reading a few more or less inappropriate questions to Lily this evening, who's going to travel with her brand-new German passport for the first time:

Wouldn't you like to ask your 6-year old about STDs, drug abuse, being arrested or involved in espionage??

On the up-side: Lily has learned a new word.

  1. Oh man, reminded me of an old episode of Seinfeld, where Jerry's dad was filling out some medical paperwork and was asked on it if he had an STD. He pretty much handed it back to them telling them that they had enough and he wasn't going any further. Seriously, though what will they come up with next!

    1. Isn't it? My friend quipped that it would have been the perfect time for "The Talk". Well, no need to start with the nastiest aspects of the matter :-)
