Week In Review - Ten Things Of Thankful (11)
First of all, "I'm all well again" won't not be among my ten things, still dealing with the bronchitis, and still not sure if I will be up to returning to work on Monday. But nevertheless, there are plenty of things to be thankful for last week:
1. My hubby, who's taking care of me, and keeps everything going somehow while I drag along (while he is not feeling 100% himself)
2. The girls for their songs, pictures, cuddles, and pads on the back. And of course for their patience with their slow mom.
3. The sunflower on my porch, who hasn't realized quite yet that it's fall.
4. The mom at Lily's kindergarten who envited her for an afternoon of play because she knew that I wasn't sick.
5. That hubby's surgery was postponed (due to him being not completely healthy either). I wouldn't have known how to take care of him yesterday. Hope that we both get better soon and his surgery can be re-scheduled, soon!
6. My Dad not being mad at me for forgetting his birthday (remembered a few hours later and called again, SO embarrassing!!).
7. Being able to eat again.
8. The row of medications I have access to to help make me feel better.
9. An understanding boss, who doesn't try to rush me back into the office.
10. Feeling the first time like myself again this morning, not the sick clone of myself that has taken over the last weeks. Sick clone made a re-appearance later in the day, but it's a progress.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thank you to Lizzi for hosting!

Glad you are feeling like yourself this morning! That sunflower is so cheerful- I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kate! Now, only the couch has to stop and the pain in my back not be pleurisy, and I'd be a happy kid ;-)
DeleteI was so surprised about the flower. I so neglected all my plants over the summer, didn't expect any of them to grace me with a bloom ;-)
Glad you are feeling better, even though you're not quite over everything yet! And so great that you could still find ten things of thankful even with not feeling your best. Kudos! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week-end!
Thanks a lot ;-) It's so much more important now to find things to be thankful for. Otherwise I could just curl up and cry ;-)
DeleteGlad that you feel on the mend. I'm also glad that your hubby is looking after you (Hope he feels better soon)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week x
Thanks a lot. It's going upwards! I'll have an appointment with the doctor on Monday, don't think I'll be back at work, but we'll see.. Have a nice weekend!
DeleteThanks so much, Lizzi, I greatly appreciate your support... I'm at the point of becoming a real cry baby and jut want to be normal again, want my routine back, want to do fun with the girls, etc... WHINE!!!
ReplyDeletealways good to have (even a day) of feeling better.. (for me) it is the reminder that there is a 'feeling better' state waiting for you...
ReplyDeleteat least it's Autumn with the more moderate temperatures
I'm just at a point of totally entering the baby stage of whining profoundly on being sick. Once one thing is improving, something else is thrown in, grrrr!!
DeleteDon't feel anything of the outside temperatures right now, as I move between bed and couch, and sometime dinnertabe right now..
here's hoping life gets back to normal this week. Good luck with your husband surgery. Is it rescheduled for soon? Continue to get well let's hope for a better week.
ReplyDeleteThey might do the surgery on Tuesday, but I don't see that happening due to my sickness. I would have to support him for 24 hours, and right now he is taking care of me, poor guy. We'll see...
DeleteHope you're all better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Kristi! I hope so, too!
DeleteThanks a lot for stopping by and following, Vanessa. I will certainly check out your blog!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, it is so good that you're feeling better and have a better appetite! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's not o much that I actually have a appetite, Michelle, but that I make myself eat at certain times to keep up my strength. Can't get healthy without power.
DeleteHope you have a great new week, Michelle!
Oh, Stephanie, this stinks! With that line-up of meds, surely you will feel better real soon. NEXT week will begin, "I am thankful for my wonderful good health."
ReplyDeleteThe second thing will be, "My husband is feeling better, too, and can finally have that surgery." Although, surgery isn't usually something people look forward to.
The third thing will be, "I am thankful I could enjoy some play time with the kids."
Look, I've written your post for you already. It must come true now. :)
I hope so, Christine! Have another sick note till Friday, but at least the hubby is doing well enough to have his surgery tomorrow! Hope he gets over it quickly. He sees himself rehearsing for the concert next Monday again ;-) Thank you so much for your well wishes, Christine!
DeleteI know how miserable Bronchitis can make you feel, so I do hope you improve rapidly, for both your own sake, and so your hubby can have his op :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Katy! Hubby's having his surgery tomorrow, and I'm improving, slowly but a little bit every day..
DeleteYou have quite a pharmacy going on your kitchen counter! Glad you're feeling better; you've had quite a siege!
ReplyDeleteSeeing that sunflower outside my window would make ME feel better if I were sick. So lovely!
The sunflower definitely was a pick-up, Dyanne!
DeleteI couldn't help but sharing the array of pills and tinctures I'm feeding myself with that last week. Can't wait to be rid of them all ;-)
