Week In Review - Ten Things Of Thankful (11)

Ten Things of Thankful

First of all, "I'm all well again" won't not be among my ten things, still dealing with the bronchitis, and still not sure if I will be up to returning to work on Monday. But nevertheless, there are plenty of things to be thankful for last week:

1. My hubby, who's taking care of me, and keeps everything going somehow while I drag along (while he is not feeling 100% himself)

2. The girls for their songs, pictures, cuddles, and pads on the back. And of course for their patience with their slow mom.

3. The sunflower on my porch, who hasn't realized quite yet that it's fall.

4. The mom at Lily's kindergarten who envited her for an afternoon of play because she knew that I wasn't sick.

5. That hubby's surgery was postponed (due to him being not completely healthy either). I wouldn't have known how to take care of him yesterday. Hope that we both get better soon and his surgery can be re-scheduled, soon!

6. My Dad not being mad at me for forgetting his birthday (remembered a few hours later and called again, SO embarrassing!!).

7. Being able to eat again.

8. The row of medications I have access to to help make me feel better.

9. An understanding boss, who doesn't try to rush me back into the office.

10. Feeling the first time like myself again this morning, not the sick clone of myself that has taken over the last weeks. Sick clone made a re-appearance later in the day, but it's a progress.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thank you to Lizzi for hosting!

  1. Any and all improvement is undoubtedly much appreciated at this stage! I wish I could give you a big hug and make it all better. It's been a miserable time for you :( Sending you continued healing thoughts.

Well done for managing to find 10 things for your list, in spite of feeling so grotty. That takes some determination.

    1. Thanks so much, Kate! Now, only the couch has to stop and the pain in my back not be pleurisy, and I'd be a happy kid ;-)

I was so surprised about the flower. I so neglected all my plants over the summer, didn't expect any of them to grace me with a bloom ;-)

  3. Glad you are feeling better, even though you're not quite over everything yet! And so great that you could still find ten things of thankful even with not feeling your best. Kudos! :)

Have a great rest of the week-end!

    1. Thanks a lot ;-) It's so much more important now to find things to be thankful for. Otherwise I could just curl up and cry ;-)

  5. always good to have (even a day) of feeling better.. (for me) it is the reminder that there is a 'feeling better' state waiting for you...

at least it's Autumn with the more moderate temperatures

    1. I'm just at a point of totally entering the baby stage of whining profoundly on being sick. Once one thing is improving, something else is thrown in, grrrr!!

Don't feel anything of the outside temperatures right now, as I move between bed and couch, and sometime dinnertabe right now..

    1. They might do the surgery on Tuesday, but I don't see that happening due to my sickness. I would have to support him for 24 hours, and right now he is taking care of me, poor guy. We'll see...

    1. It's not o much that I actually have a appetite, Michelle, but that I make myself eat at certain times to keep up my strength. Can't get healthy without power.

Hope you have a great new week, Michelle!

  9. Oh, Stephanie, this stinks! With that line-up of meds, surely you will feel better real soon. NEXT week will begin, "I am thankful for my wonderful good health."
The second thing will be, "My husband is feeling better, too, and can finally have that surgery." Although, surgery isn't usually something people look forward to.
The third thing will be, "I am thankful I could enjoy some play time with the kids."
Look, I've written your post for you already. It must come true now. :)

  10. I know how miserable Bronchitis can make you feel, so I do hope you improve rapidly, for both your own sake, and so your hubby can have his op :)

  11. You have quite a pharmacy going on your kitchen counter! Glad you're feeling better; you've had quite a siege!

Seeing that sunflower outside my window would make ME feel better if I were sick. So lovely!

    1. The sunflower definitely was a pick-up, Dyanne!

I couldn't help but sharing the array of pills and tinctures I'm feeding myself with that last week. Can't wait to be rid of them all ;-)
