Things I Want To Do...

Finish the Sentence Friday

It's Friday, finally!! Tomorrow after lunch we'll head out for our first true family vacation since our trip down to Portland back when Lily was still an only child, if you don't count the trips over the big pond to visit family, which are sometimes more stress than relaxing.

Before we're heading out, I'm going to link up with Katie and Janine for Finish the Sentence Friday.

My bucket list includes...

... lots and lots of travelling. I love to travel, to see new places, meet new people, and experience new cultures. There are also a couple of places I want to return to, just because I need to show them to the hubby. Check out some of the places from an older post!

... run a marathon.

... write and publish a book - even though I already think about cheating and writing a children’s book  ;-)

... raising our girls to be happy, independent, and responsible adults.

... have a honeymoon.

What is on your bucket list??

    1. Thanks a lot, Lizzi!

We wanted to go on a honeymoon to Rome right after we were married, which was the only weekend we could go before my college finals, pilgrims flooding the city, and our transfer to another post in the States. Well, and just that weekend, a day after our wedding, Richard had to go on a two-week class somewhere in the neck of the woods in Germany..

  4. I, too, love traveling and hope you get to do tons more of it. Yes to raising children to be happy and independent adults.

    1. Thanks a lot, Kristi! To us, it's really important that the girls can take care of themselves when they are adults. There's nothing more pathetic than healthy, able adults still living in Hotel Mommy.

  5. I'd loooove to write a book some day, or a memoir. I'm with ya on the honeymoon too - still haven't had one of those. =0)

    1. What's keeping you from going on your honeymoon?? Where do you want to go?

I am getting ideas together for a children's book, but I just cant't draw, so that won't happen I guess..

    1. Thanks, Karen! Since I have a 10k on my list of things to do before turning 30, I was joking that I'd do the half-marathon till 40 and the marathon till 50, which again sounds scary!! ;-)

  7. If I ran a marathon I would die. Dying isn't on my bucket list ;)

    1. That's a good thing NOT to have on a bucket list, Steph ;-) I think the trick is to start slowly and build up steadily. I went from less than one kilometer to almost 8 in 2 months, and that with a couple of breaks due to injuries.

  8. I have travel and writing a book on my list too. And I don't think it's cheating to write a kid's book. I have a friend that wants to do that and while it's not as long, you have to get the illustrations and the rhyme, if you're going to rhyme it, right and all this other stuff. Hard work! Great bucket list!

    1. Thanks a lot, Kate! The illustrations would be the really difficult thing. I thought about writing a book for each of the girls, with them and their favorite stuffed animals, but I cannot draw if my life depended on it...
