Week In Review - Ten Things Of Thankful (17)

Ten Things of Thankful

Thinking of Lizzi, the wonderful host and founder of the Ten Things Of Thankful today, as she's digging herself out of a deep dark whole and somehow still manages to find things down there to be thankful for. You are a hero, Lizzi!

Here are ten things of things I am incredible thankful for today:

1. My wonderful friend Kathrin, who listens to me, no matter how ridiculous I am.

2. People at my work willing to step in and help me out as I was working for 3.

3.  A wonderful couple's breakfast Saturday morning as the kids were happily playing at the Smalland (guess where we were!)

4. Having such a grown-up girl who, fighting back her tears, told me it was ok if we didn't make it to the church in time after waiting in front of the wrong church for 20 minutes.

5. Making it literally just in time to Lily's solo; she sang so beautiful.

6. A wonderful night nerding away with great friends.

7. The house progressing even more. The final floor layer has been put down on Thursday.

8. My doctor patiently giving me new appointmens for my allergy test as the chest cold lingers.

9. Getting to celebrate my grandma's 75th birthday.

10. A hubby who can and is happily willing to cook  ;-)

Wishing everyone a wonderful new week!

10. Violet sleeping right now. She'd been driving everyone else in the family royally crazy as she refused to take the nap she needed.

  1. oh no the curse of the napless kiddo! Those are days I do not miss! I miss so much about when my boy was little but man...not that!

Did that mean you were doing the work of 3?Moses!

Lily had a solo???? WHat a talent! Sweet!

Skip says thanks so much for respecting his feminine side... he will be sporting the pink Doctrine shirt soon I suspect! Thanks for the encouragement!

    1. Remember, Zoe, only true men dare to wear pink ;-)

Lily sang a solo during their kindergarten church service. Hated that they "forced" us to attend the service that way, but loved her singing and how proud she was..

Two of my colleagues were sick last week, so I was the first to take over their work. But luckily, someone else jumped in to support, otherwise I'd spent all weekend at work ;-)

  2. "...night nerding away with great friends."

Loved that! know exactly what you mean, better, I can picture the scene (from my own experiences) and best of all… I get a sense of the 'feeling' underlying the item.
(in part and to some extent), a feeling satisfaction in discovering a level of satisfaction that did not seem so easy to find at an earlier stage in life.

    have a good week!

I'm SO glad you made it in time for Lily's solo in the end, and that she sang so beautifully.

You and I are going to have to find a way to play Munchkin sometime :D

Lily did sing so well, and she was so cool, walking up, doing her thing, and walking back to me to get her high-fives! Such a great girl!

    1. Thanks so much, Stacey! I'm so thankful that I still have most of my grandparents around! Oh, and hubby cooking is such an advantage.. The best thing about it is that he doesn't only cook well, but he also loves cooking!
