Week In Review - Ten Things Of Thankful (26)

You see, Jak, I've caught up with Lizzi and everyone else!! Since FTSF is on break today due to Thanksgiving, I endulge in the Ten Things of Thankful a day early and, ince our Thanksgiving celebration is 2 days later, there will be a gem from hubby's feather for you all on Saturday.

This week, I'm especially thankful for:

1. The hubby, this incredibly funny, random, caring, and loving guy...

2. Lily not getting sick after her down-day last Sunday.

3. Violet bringing home little stenciled stars and handed each of us one. She was so proud..

4. Lily's tooth, which had been loose since August, has finally given up. Someone's getting a visit from the tooth fairy tonight!!

5. Purging, and making space by putting the summer toys away, just to find the holiday decoration. Yay  :-)

6. Coming home from work to find the girls having put away all the decorating and cook books for me. SO beyond sweet of them!!

7. Overleeping a few times and still not missing the bus.

8. Wonderfully frosted landscapes in the early morning.

9. Getting to say good-bye to a friend in person, and allowing the girls to say good-bye to their little friend.

10. A great late Thanksgiving dinner with great friends. We're really, really lucky!

Wishing you all a great weekend, and thank you so much, Lizzi, for hosting!!

    1. The girls are the best.. most of the time :-) It's so weird that it doesn't matter if I get up at 6:10 or 6:30, I don't get more done, but am still out of the house at the same time..

  3. Sounded like a great week and happy to check in tonight after a long, crazy, day of Black Friday shopping here, as well as Christmas decorating. Totally put our tree up late this afternoon, because the girls just couldn't wait. So we are all ready for Christmas to come now. Happy Weekend and by the way my Lily had a fever later last night, but thankfully seems to be feeling better tonight and so happy your is Ok, too! :)

    1. Ohhh, she was so worried the tooth fairy wouldn't find her, or just wouldn't make the trip because of such a small tooth. She was over the moon excited when she found the coin under her pillow the next morning :-)

    1. Thanks so much, Jen! It was stressful, and I bet I spent more time in the kitchen than sleeping, but it was SO much fun! Hope you have a good start into this new week!

    1. Sorry, Clark.. Just me being very late approving all the comments.. One day... Actually, we Germans live in your future.. It was always so weird when I still lived in the States and called my parents in Germany for New Years. For about 9 hours, we were in different YEARS, and I could call them and ask: How does 2010 feel like?? :-)

    1. I'm bad at purging, Without at least a little self-control, I'd be such a messie :-) But if I really get in the mood and toss stuff, it sure feels good.

Hope you have a great new week, Zoe!

  9. I'm glad to hear it didn't turn into a full-blown illness for Lily. And finally losing a loose tooth! Who's happier? Her, for getting some cash, or you, not having to look at that dangling tooth? :)
    You have such sweet girls.
And so your friends have moved. I'm glad you were all able to see each other one last time.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

    1. Thanks a lot, Christine, we're happy, too that she rallied :-)

The first moment, Lily was actually very nervous about losing the tooth, not sure if she should laugh or cry. Luckily, she decided on laughing :-)

I'm glad we got to say good-bye as well, even though it's almost harder for me now than it was before..

I hope you have a great week, Christine!

    1. Thanks a lot, Kristi! I was really happy I caught the bus; I would have hated to wait another 10 or 15 minutes in the cold :-)

      Have a great new week!!

  11. Ugh, I HATE loose teeth! I hated them when I was a kid, and I hated them when my kids had them. Pulling teeth is bloody and gross. That's one thing from my kids' childhood I won't miss! Glad Lily's finally decided to fall out and that she reaped a reward for it from the tooth fairy!

How funny that you and your parents were in two different YEARS before! That's a cool story!

I hope everyone stays well through the holidays. Have a great week!

    1. I actually don't mind the loose tooth, and I loved having loose teeth when I was a kid :-) It wasn't very bloody, as it was very, VERY loose already.

Time difference is indeed a funny thing :-) We'Re doing out best to stay healthy! Please do the same!

Have a great week yourself, Dyanne!
