Halloween Memories

Finish the Sentence Friday

It's Friday!!! The entire weekend ahead, and the weather is supposed to beautiful. I hope to be able to take a walk in the woods with the family, and maybe bake a cake or so... There's nothing better than a Friday night, and to top it off, Janine and Kate have picked a great cue for Finish The Sentence Friday:

One Halloween...

... we had a lHalloween birthday party for the hubbie.

With Billy Mays (well powdered)...
... a medieval wedding couple...
... a gorgeous pilot...
... and a little jaguar girl loving her cake!

PS: I grew up in Germany, where Halloween has arrived only a few years ago, so I don't really have any fun stories to tell about Halloween. But they are definitely in the making  ;-)

  1. Definitely great pictures and I love that you are indeed able to now celebrate Halloween in Germany. Seriously such a fun holiday and and know you are going to have many wonderful stories to share, but seriously loved that you had a Halloween party for your husband's birthday. Thank you as always for linking up and Happy early Halloween!! :)

    1. Happy early Halloween to you as well. It's such a fun holiday, and I'm glad that it's actually celebrated here nowadays. We have a house in the neighborhood that turns into an awesome haunted house, I'm so looking forward what they're doing this year!

    1. We definitely did have a great bunch of friends; unfortunately, we have moved halfway around the world since then, so no more parties with these folks for now :-( Thanks a lot for stopping by, Alana!

  4. Halloween's not that bug here in Australia either, but dressing up is always fun isn't it? Love the photo of little jaguar girl :)

    1. Thanks so much, Lizzy ;-) I'm not a fan of dressing up myself, but it's sure fun to think up costumes for the girls (or figure out how to realize their ideas..).

  5. as holiday, Halloween has changed a lot over here, but as long as it involves costumes and disguises, I suspect it will retain it's appeal to clarks… and scotts. (not sure if the rogers are overly-excited about the end of October, but then again they have their own holiday (over here) in Thanksgiving).
looks like you had fun with this as an day for imagination.
    cool!

    1. I know, Clark! Actually, I think that Halloween over here is what it used to be in the States 20 years ago. Kids actually go out, if they are a little older by themselves, there are no "what if someone gives them poisoned candy" crazes, just tons of fun for everyone involved. It's not yet that widely known, but also people who are surprised by little creatures of all sorts showing up at their door after dark usually give them a treat anyway. Already looking forward to Thursday, since I don't have to dress up ;-)
