The Favorite Part Of My Day

Finish the Sentence Friday

Do you know that: it's Tuesday, and you can't believe that it's still three days until Friday. And then you blink, and it's Friday. That was my week, sweet, right? And since it's Friday, time to link up with Kate and Janine for Finish the Sentence Friday:

The best part of my day is...

... when I open the door after a long day of work, I step in; I hear four little feet running towards me, as many "Mami, Mamiiiiii"s sound through the house, and I am ambushed and cuddled to the floor by an Army of two before getting to hug the hubby, switch into comfy pants, and be home with the loves of my heart again.

  1. Love the comfy pants and truly adore the hugs and greeting you get. Sounds quite literally awesome and perfect to me. Thanks again for linking up with us and wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead now, too!! :)

  2. ...my hours are un-predictable but, fortunately dogs are not. So, no matter what time I get home, Una is sitting on the couch waiting. She doesn't jump up are anything, she waits...I will sit at the opposite end of the couch and she will jump over and half sit in my lap and I will ask about her day and talk about mine (lol for about 5 minutes...it's definitely a dog thing). Then we get up and go through the come home from work routine.
I can identify with your Post.

    1. Love it! Una seems to be a very patient dog, most dogs I know or have heard of would run you over the second you step in the door (or at least try to do so, if their body mass is not sufficient). Sounds like a great coming-home routine!

    1. Thanks, Jen! It's really sweet when they wait on the window and look out, and I then hear frantic knocking on the window and waving.. They are very sweet!

  4. There is something special about the greeting when you get home, isn't there! Frankly, our dog has WAY more enthusiasm for greeting us than we do for each other, but still.

    1. The enthusiasm of little kids or dogs ;-) It would be funny seeing hubby competing instead of just standing back and smiling about the scene ;-) Thank you for stopping by, Kerith!

    1. It most certainly is. I'm dreading their teenage years, when it will be a "why are YOU home already" ;-) Enjoying the daily hugging attacks as long as it lasts!

  6. Awww, that is a beautiful time of day. My husband experiences that when he comes home from work. Whenever I leave for a little while and come home, it IS nice to be greeted by happy and excited kids. Love it!
