It's here! The day my baby becomes a kindergartener. I prepared a cute outfit, made lunch for Lily and Violet, and headed to work. On her first day, Violet was supposed to only stay for a couple of hours, but obviously she loved it so much that she was allowed to stay the entire 4 hours. I called Richard around 10:30, but of course she wasn't home by then. But once she did come home, I of course received all the information from my very excited kindergartener.
She's now attending ladybug class; she did some crafting today and drew a picture that she brought home. She met new kids and played in the yard, and most importantly, she's excited to go back tomorrow!

Heading out to kindergarten |
How adorable! So happy she loved it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julia! I bugged the poor hubby to NOT forget to snap a picture before heading out that day ;-)
DeleteShe is so cute and looks so happy! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jen! She was SO excited finally to go. She's been going with Richard to take and pick up Lily for the last 2 years, and it's finally her turn to go as well!
DeleteShe looks like you hun that's for sure. hope she has/had a great first day.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think? She definitely has my hair and the blue eyes, but besides that, I totally think she's Richard's mini-me. She even has the one dimple in her cheek when she laughs, just the opposite cheek as with him ;-)
DeleteAwww, adorable! I can't wait for my little one to start kindergarten. Ok well I can but I can't wait for moments like this. She looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you, Kae! I'm excited about every milestone, but it's always so bitter-sweet for me. It somehow was easier with Lily, because she's always been so independent, and I still had my baby at home. But now, even my baby takes off to the big, wide world :-)
